Moving to our new farm meant building our business all over again, but this time- we had 10 years of experience under our belts.
We couldn’t have done it without mentorship from other growers. In that spirit, this online class will lift the curtain on how we got it done, from financials to irrigation systems.
We’ll cover the process of decision making and execution on each of the following:
Funding (grants, loans, etc)
Greenhouses
Barn Organization
Equipment
Irrigation
Fencing
Perennial Field
Annual Field
Propagation
We’ll go into detail on each decision- from why we made it, to how we made it happen. We focus on our values and goals first, and make decisions based on those- we’ll explain how that works! After the class, our hope is that you have a clear sense of what major decisions need to be made when starting a farm, and how to go about making them.
The Details:
This class is right for you if you’re a commercial grower or aspiring farmer. We’re really going to get into the weeds, as it were. We’ll cover a lot of ground quickly, so come ready to party (in a note-taking kind of way)!
Participants will receive a Zoom link to join the class in the week beforehand, and a recording after the class. Participants can watch the recording for 30 days before it will be deleted.
Class is Thursday, February 9th from 7 pm to 8:30 pm EST.
Please note we cannot accommodate cancellations or refunds due to the limited class size. Make sure you check the time change in your area!
