first spring at our new farm

Dear Readers,

The barn, the greenhouses, the fencing, the road, the well went in at our new farm- just in time for the spring season.

There was no time to organize, no time to create systems for simple things like washing buckets and sharpening tools.

The flowers came like a colorful flood, and for the past three months, we just put our noses down and got the spring harvest done. Disorganized barn be darned!

Starting next weekend, we’re trying something new: a summer break. No harvesting, no sales, no deliveries from mid June to mid August. The time will give us a much-needed recharge, and allow us space to put everything in place.

We’ll still work through the summer- just at a slower pace. In fact, we’re having a volunteer morning on Saturday, June 24th to pull some weeds- register here!

There are a few other opportunities to see the farm this year! If you’re an ASCFG member, you can join our farm tour in July. We also have a Dahlia class including picking dahlias from our fields) and a Horticultural Tour for plant nerds like us.

See you at the farm!
