Class Description: Join Butterbee Farm for a comprehensive class about putting your cut flower garden to bed for winter! Learn about Butterbee Farm’s methods for digging or overwintering dahlias, caring for fall planted annuals, fall perennial care, and preventative measures against critter and weather damage. Plus, we’ll share our tips and tricks to help you get an early spring bloom! We’ll discuss planting dates for those in Zone 6-8, so if you live in another zone, please adjust your dates accordingly.

About Laura Beth: Laura Beth Resnick is the founder and owner of Butterbee Farm, a five acre flower farm in Pikesville, Maryland. Following sustainable, organic practices, Butterbee Farm provides locally grown flowers for florists, flower lovers, and weddings in Maryland and Washington, D.C. Before creating Butterbee Farm in 2013, Laura Beth worked on organic vegetable farms across the northeast. She serves on the board of the Association of Specialty Cut Flower Growers and writes for their quarterly magazine. Laura Beth also mentors new growers through Future Harvest's Beginning Farmer Training Program. She speaks regularly at conferences and arboretums including the Cylburn Arboretum and the United States Botanic Garden, and teaches classes both at the farm and online.
