Building Butterbee (Again) Recording

Moving to our new farm meant building our business all over again, but this time- we had 10 years of experience under our belts. In this class, Butterbee owner Laura Beth will cover the process of decision-making and making it all happen. We’ll talk about big challenges, surprises, and things we’d do differently if we could do it a third time.

We’ll cover all the major components of building our farm, including:

  • Funding (grants, loans, etc)

  • Greenhouses

  • Barn Organization

  • Equipment

  • Irrigation

  • Fencing

  • Perennial Field

  • Annual Field

  • Propagation

We’ll go into detail on each decision- from why we made it, to how we made it happen. We focus on our values and goals first, and make decisions based on those- we’ll explain how that works! After the class, our hope is that you have a clear sense of what major decisions need to be made when starting a farm, and how to go about making them.

The Details:

This class is right for you if you’re a commercial grower or aspiring farmer. We’re really going to get into the weeds, as it were. We’ll cover a lot of ground quickly, so come ready to party (in a note-taking kind of way)!

THIS IS A RECORDED CLASS!
