at the new farm

Dear Readers,

We are settled at our new farm in White Hall, Maryland. The joy and excitement of stewarding our own land fills me up every day!

As they say about babies- thank goodness it’s cute, because the new farm is a PAIN IN THE BUTT. There are contractors to juggle, things that break unexpectedly, missing pieces of equipment, hard freezes that throw our plans to the wind.

For now, all our energy is going to preparing and planting our greenhouse beds. We don’t have electricity yet, so we are crossing all our fingers and toes that BGE gets us connected soon so that we have blooms as early as possible.

One of the most fun things is showing our friends and family the new place! They’ve been with us every step of the way, and are just as proud of Butterbee as I am.
