september makes us happy

Dear Readers,

The weather this September has been unbelievably gorgeous. It puts the farm team in a good mood!

This fall season, our dahlias have been really juicy, and our eucalyptus is bountiful and lush! It’s a weirdly good ageratum season, but our strawflower hasn’t been producing much. Sometimes I know why these things are happening (rain, or lack thereof); and sometimes, it’s just a mystery.

If you’re hoping to have a fall blooming garden next year, here’s a tip- we sow most of our seeds in late June to get blooms in September and October! Zinnias, celosia, ageratum, millets, marigolds, gomphrena all fall into this category.

I wish you a glorious fall filled with your favorite seasonal things!
