tough times

Dear Readers,

We have seen mountains of kindness in the last week since the pandemic began.

Strangers reached out to see how we were doing. Florists bought flowers for their shops even though they didn’t need them. Friends and family called, emailed, and texted.

I’m worried about so many things, I can’t keep track of them all. But I barely have time to worry. The greenhouses are bursting with flowers, and it’s all we can do to keep up.

I’m fully aware that we live in a beautiful, peaceful place to weather a pandemic. My heart goes out to everyone, to all of you. Each person out there is struggling with particular, intimate challenges presented by this event.
